| ポール・マッカートニー、英国史上４位のソングライターに選ばれる |
22日（英国時間）に発表されるアイヴァー・ノヴェロ賞を前に The British Academy of Composers & Songwriters が英国史上最高のソングライター（50 Best British Songwriters）を発表した。ポール・マッカートニーは英国史上4番目のソングライターに選ばれ、ウイングスのメンバーの中で唯一選出されている。ビートルズ関連ではジョン・レノンが英国史上最高のソングライター（1位）の栄誉に輝き、ジョージ・ハリスンが36位に選ばれている。発表されたリストは以下のとおり。
